Richard is especially well known in the dairy sector, where he has extensive experience assisting companies and organisations on projects across the globe.

Favourite tipple: where do I start?

Richard has worked in food sector strategic consulting since the late 1980s, specialising in international marketing.

After founding the food sector consultancy business at Landell Mills in 1993 and running it for eight years, he took some time out to work in industry and as an independent consultant, before re-joining Orrani Consulting. Since then, he has helped the company go from strength to strength.

He has spent much time in developing countries, where he continues his longstanding involvement – visiting China on business and pleasure since 1986, for instance. He has worked on multiple industry categories, from produce and commodities through to ingredients and packaged food and beverage.

He is especially well known in the dairy sector, where he has extensive experience of assisting companies and organisations on projects throughout Europe, Asia, Americas, Oceania and Africa/Middle East.

An Associate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Richard works on dairy and other food industry assignments worldwide and regularly speaks at dairy industry events in Europe, the US and Oceania. He also edits the monthly newsletter Dairy Product China News and often contributes to other journals.

Richard graduated from the University of London with a 1st in History, specialising in particular in international relations and developing countries (Royal Holloway College/London School of Economics).
