Orrani Consulting has recently been awarded a project to evaluate market opportunities for food exports to the South Pacific islands.
The Pacific Islands constitutes one of the least developed markets in the world and presents a significant food export marketing challenge, given its geographic remoteness and small populations.
The region is far from homogenous, with many different populations and influences (Melanesian, Polynesian, French, British, American) having shaped consumption habits.
In spite of these challenges, the region makes for an interesting market – many of the economies are growing strongly and are often highly import-dependent. Marked local trends include urbanisation and the emergence of significant health issues based on increasingly westernised lifestyles.
Orrani Consulting are excited to be working on this interesting project in a truly fascinating and little-explored region.
